
URS proudly supports Kids' Chance
The first Kids’ Chance organization was founded in 1988 by workers compensation attorney Robert Clyatt in Georgia. He developed the initiative after having been a direct witness to the dramatic effect that workplace injuries and fatalities. More specifically the hardship it causes children in the household and their pursuant of higher education. After incorporating the inaugural Kids’ Chance group in Georgia, the organization began reaching out to other states to further expand the cause.
Kids’ Chance of New Jersey was established in 2003 to provide scholarships for college and vocational education to children of New Jersey workers who have been fatally or catastrophically injured in a work-related accident. Despite the hardships the children and family have had to endure, both emotionally and financially, they are determined to complete their education & career dreams.
Since the inception of Kids Chance NJ in 2003, United Review Services has been an ongoing supporter. This year United Review Services awarded their first scholarship. Nicole's story exemplifies the impact of Kids’ Chance scholarships. After her father was catastrophically injured on the job, Nicole felt her college dreams were impossible. The Kids’ Chance scholarship has contributed to funding her under graduate college experience.
